lyrics
he locked me in his car, no we didn't get far
sit back down
he said I want to give you all the apples and love you asked me for
he wanted so much more
locked me in a room with fire, and now I'm dead on the floor
my bones are in a box at the bottom of the stairs
my brains are in a jar on the kitchen table
he likes to rip me into little pieces
he never used knife to cut me or slice
no that's too kind
he always used his hands cause he's a man
well he thinks so
he wanted so much more
locked me in a room with fire, and now I'm dead on the floor
my bones are in a box at the bottom of the stairs
my brains are in a jar on the kitchen table
he likes to rip me into ....
he wanted so much more
locked me in a room with fire
tied me to the bed and set me alight
never wanted me alive
a pretty little corpse to frame and admire
my bones are in a box at the bottom of the stairs
my brains are in a jar on the kitchen table
he likes to rip me into
little pieces

Folk-Punk?! What! Used to love them to the point where I embraced Markwell's self-destructiveness, self-pity, contempt towards her friends, and delusions of grandeur. Do you know why? she had the soul, genius, emotional whimsy and dare to meet us in a world where getting a dog tattoo is "too ambitious," James Joyce is an insult, and whoever says "no" to romantic advances gets crushed in the end. Let's just say, she has more bones to pick with the males than any other artist I'm aware of. OQ
